2020 will mark our 21st year trading as BMI, but our roots date back to the 80's. We believe that the wealth of knowledge and experience gained over this period, serves to underpin our reputation as Gibraltar's most solid, established and reputable property company. This sets us out as leading estate agents in Gibraltar, recognised as such within the community, by both our partners and competitor firms. We continue to build on our solid reputation and continue to evolve the business.

BMI has predominantly operated in the Gibraltar property market working with our local and international clients. Over the years the international scene has grown tremendously due to the growth of the finance centre.

We were involved in Gibraltar's largest private Real Estate sale in 2000. Our Development Consultancy has grown substantially over the years; in 2005 our sales exceeded £40,000,000 and in 2006 our estimated sales on developments that we consult for were in excess of £65,000,000.

Our experience and knowledge has assisted many developers both in commercial and residential sectors; Atlantic Suites, Kings Wharf, The Anchorage and Europlaza to name but a few.

Although Gibraltar is not immune to any crisis, we have been fortunate to have been relatively unscathed by the global crisis which began in 2008. It would be fair to say that 2009/ 2010 were indeed tougher years in which prices were adjusted and in which an element of oversupply affected our markets. Given the strength in our economy our property market held surprisingly well during a period in which most western economies were and still are in crisis. We have seen a notable hardening in the market with property process (in certain areas) increasing from 2011. We are hugely encouraged by the fact that in 2012/13 our sales and lettings departments are running similarly to trends back in the peak of the market in 2007.

As part of our drive to continually evolve our proposition we are able to offer our clients a wide range of advice to help them with their financial needs. We have established partnerships with local and international providers of mortgage finance and are pleased to work with our clients and partners to achieve a professional result. Our arrangements can range from pre determined products available through high street lenders to specifically tailored packages available from Private Banks.

Our target market is in the main based locally and includes local buyers and international clientele based in Gibraltar. As a thriving finance centre Gibraltar attracts a substantial high net worth market looking to base there personal wealth from here; in addition we also attract a large number of business and institutions for the same reason.
